Honeybee Photography is located in the Twin Cities Metro Area and specializes in Families, Little's & Maternity and High School Senior photography and strive to capture personalities, styles and emotions. All photography sessions take place on-location using natural light and the surrounding scenery. Lush green wooded areas, funky and fun urban locations (which are my favorite), are a great choice for seniors, toddlers and older children (weather permitting). Babies who are not yet walking are best photographed indoors.

Honeybee's goal is to help clients fall in love with their images. Seeing clients thrilled about their photos is just as important to me as creating those beautiful images and memories. Let me help you celebrate every stage of your family’s life with natural, fun photography, that reflects and fits your family’s style and the way you live.

Honeybee Photography likes to capture honest, fun-loving and those wonderful family moments that we all take for granted and often times have a difficult time remembering. Let Honeybee Photography capture your memories and provide you with images you will be proud to show off for many years to come.

About the Photographer

I'm Melissa, I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. I met my husband, Nicholas, through our passion of philanthropy and were married in April 2012 in Riviera Maya, Mexico. In October 2014, my husband and I welcomed our first child, Easton into the world. I've been calling Minnesota my home my whole life and love to travel, scrapbook and plan events.

I've always loved photography starting at an early age, running around with a camera like I was the neighborhood's paparazzi. My journey continued throughout my childhood, into high school and grew stronger as an adult, eventually starting Honeybee Photography. Why Honeybee? Because Melissa is of Greek origin meaning honeybee!

Photography is more than just capturing a person’s face. It is about documenting a slice of life and preserving a moment in time. It is about capturing a person’s exceptional story with candid emotions, vivid colors, unique style and flair. With my documentary style, I try to capture real life moments. The best photos come from those unanticipated moments filled with expressions when people are not waiting to be photographed. These are the moments that truly capture life's artwork!
