Lindsey | Brown Eyed Girl | St. Paul Park Senior Photography

Lindsey: Senior - Brown Eyed Girl

We were “standing in the sunlight laughing” with Lindsey for her senior portrait session. If you don’t notice right away, she has the most amazing big brown eyes - they are hypnotic! Just ask her mom how many times she says “no” before giving in to Lindsey’s requests. It may be Lindsey’s persistence, but it could be her batting her long lashes over those big beautiful brown eyes. Although we were not “hiding behind a rainbow’s wall”, we did have a beautiful October day to play in the leaves. “Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da.”

G Family | Strike A Pose, There’s Nothing To It | Hastings Family Photography

The G Family

“Beauty is where you find it” and I found it within the G Family. Brooke is one of my favorite “models” – she should be on the cover of a magazine! She always comes prepared with her own poses in mind. This little lady comes with an attitude, which comes through in the photos. I see so much of her mom in her; Jim has his hands full. This family is so easy to work with because they are naturals! All my clients could take a lesson from Brooke. Like Madonna would say, “Don't just stand there, let's get to it. Strike a pose, there's nothing to it!”

Nick | Movember Reigns | Inver Grove Heights Lifestyle Photography

“When I look into your eyes I can see the razor restrained. But darlin' when I hold you don’t you know I feel the pain...” The pain of your facial hair pricking me in the face when you try to kiss me!

With the start of November, don’t be surprised if you start to see a lot more hair - facial hair and it’s men supporting one another. If you are not aware, it is Movember!

During the month of November each year, Movember is responsible for the budding of moustaches on men’s faces all over the world. Known as Mo Bros, these men raise money and awareness for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.

Men start Movember on November 1st with a clean shave. My husband actually started his Movember push 2 weeks ago because we have a vacation planned in the Caribbean during the month and I insisted that he be clean shaven for that trip, but last night, he took to the razor. For the rest of the month, these “hair growing Mo Bros” continue their quest to grow and perfect the best moustaches they can attain, while raising funds for their mo-growing efforts. As wives and girlfriends of these Mo Bros, we support them and are referred to as Mo Sistas!

While this is a silly and fun month, it is a great way to raise money for a good cause. In 2011, over 854,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas around the world got on board, raising $126.3 million USD for prostate and testicular cancer initiatives!

As my husband shaved off his facial hair last night, we captured it on digital “film”. It was quite the adventure as he created very interesting moustache designs and he had a lot of fun doing it.

“Nothin' lasts forever and we both know faces can change. And it’ hard to hold the handlebar, but let Movember Reign."
